Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour raises prize money for 2024 edition

The LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour has announced an increase in prize money for its 36th edition, scheduled from 25th to 30th June. The total prize pool will rise by nearly ten per cent to €45,780, a significant boost compared to the previous year.

In 2023, the prize fund saw a substantial 25 per cent increase, aligning the race with World Tour standards. “Women’s cycling has been booming in recent years and is gaining more visibility,” stated Tour Director Vera Hohlfeld. “Here in Thuringia, we have been successfully working for many years to close the gap with men’s professional cycling. This includes making progress with the prize money. Last year, we took a significant step in this direction, and this year we are making another step forward, fully aware that the journey is not yet complete.”

The overall winner of the 2024 LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour will receive €3,500. Each stage victory will be rewarded with €735, alongside various other prizes for special classifications such as sprints, mountains, and U23 standings. The winning team will also be honoured with €2,000.
